Granada’s most famous landmark is the Alhambra, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and where you can enjoy a full day during your city trip. This historic palace is full of remnants of both Moorish and Catholic culture. The city has a compact center which is easy to explore on foot and from all over the city you can see the palace of the Alhambra; with the snowy peaks of the Sierra Nevada in the background.
But Granada is much more than just the Alhambra. It is a large and lively student city in Spain (about 60,000 students) because of the prestigious Universidad de Granada. Hip bars, authentic neighborhoods and colorful markets.
